In order to take back control of the U.S. Senate this November, Democrats need to flip four seats from red to blue – and it just so happens that Democratic candidates in four states are surging in the polls right now.

That’s why I’m endorsing them, and asking for your help:

John Hickenlooper in Colorado, Mark Kelly in Arizona, Sara Gideon in Maine, and Cal Cunningham in North Carolina are all great candidates who have an excellent chance of defeating their Republican incumbent opponents. All of them have huge grassroots momentum from people like you fueling their campaigns. And more than that, each has amazing backgrounds and records that will serve them well making progress in the Senate.

But as the polls show these Democrats taking the lead, we know Mitch McConnell and his billionaire network of right-wing donors and super PACs are ready and willing to pour massive sums of money into these races: they’ve already pledged to spend $200 million to attack their Democratic challengers and keep their grip on power.

This is the most important election in our lifetimes, John, and it’s not enough to remove President Trump from the White House. If we’re going to pass the progressive laws our communities need and deserve, like criminal justice reform, universal healthcare, common-sense gun legislation, and more, we not only need to hold the Democratic majority in the House and take back the White House – we need to overcome McConnell and the GOP by flipping the Senate too.
