Meet James, 7, who while fighting a brain tumor wished to be a pirate. When the time came, he was greeted by two pirates who led him on a treasure hunt in Key West. “Seeing him feel special in a way that isn’t about his illness was so wonderful,” said his mom, Nancy. “It warms our hearts, and we are so grateful.”
Sometimes, hope can make all the difference for a child fighting a critical illness. But fundraising has slowed, even though summer is a busy wish-granting time of year. We need your help to reach our monthly goal so we can help more wish kids.
For kids fighting a critical illness, granting wishes can improve their quality of life and give them a better chance of recovering. Wishes can help a child replace fear with confidence, sadness with joy – and anxiety with hope. |
Thousands of wish kids are still on the waiting list, and summer is one of the busiest times of the year for granting wishes. It’s also a more difficult time to raise funds. But every wish granted depends on your financial support.
Without your help we won’t be able to meet our goals for summer. That means wishes in waiting will be waiting even longer.
Time is running out. This 3X match is up at the end of the month, so don’t wait – give now and you’ll provide 3X the hope for kids with critical illnesses.
Wishfully,
Make-A-Wish® |
