Results Announced from New Indigenous Resilience Initiative in AlaskaAt the recent Oweesta Native CDFI Capital Convening in Waikoloa, Hawaii, JumpScale and Spruce Root presented the initial results from a breakthrough initiative in Indigenous economic and community well-being. |

Over twelve months, ten Alaska Native-owned companies participated in a brand new business accelerator that is Indigenous-led and centered on founder well-being, healing collective trauma, and building business resilience. The initiative received a $6M grant from Mackenzie Scott’s Yield Giving in 2024. A second cohort in Alaska will begin in September, and JumpScale will expand the program into communities worldwide over the next two years.

Dan Storper, SVN Member & Co-Founder of Putumayo World Music, dies at 74We’re sad to announce that Dan Storper, visionary co-founder of SVN company that introduced global music to Western audiences, died on May 22, 2025 surrounded by family at his home in New Orleans following a battle with pancreatic cancer.

SVN Lifetime Member, Michael Pirron, has self-published a compelling dystopian novel challenging Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged." Set in near-future America, the story follows social entrepreneurs and nonprofit leaders who emerge as heroes against a regime descending into fascism and oligarchy.
