President Trump and his administration are trying to trample on workers’ rights as they seek to strip longstanding workplace protections from tens of thousands of career federal employees — but Rob is pushing back.
Trump’s Office of Personnel Management proposed a rule to create a new employment classification in the federal service, which would let the administration get away with firing federal workers for “subverting Presidential directives,” purely political reasons, or other reasons unrelated to their job performance.
Rob teamed up with a coalition of Democratic attorneys general to oppose this proposed rule change, which threatens to replace experienced, nonpartisan professionals with political loyalists beholden to Trump and the MAGA movement.
This is yet another direct assault on the integrity of our federal workforce. It could break the very foundation of a government that serves all Americans, not just those who implement Trump’s agenda.
