I was raised by immigrant parents who believed deeply in public service. My father was a doctor who cared for patients in underserved communities. He showed me that true service means showing up for people, especially when it’s hard.
That belief has guided every step of my career—from serving as a U.S. Army officer, to advocating for children in crisis and low-income clients as a lawyer, to shaping policy as a public servant. Whether I was working to improve legal aid access in the legislature or helping veterans in crisis as Lieutenant Governor, my focus has always been the same: People first.
Now, as Attorney General, I bring that same sense of duty to every case, every reform, and every fight. I’m proud of what we’ve done together:
- Securing justice for victims of elder abuse and proposing stronger oversight of long-term care facilities
- Defending common-sense gun safety laws and holding the firearms industry accountable
- Cracking down on wage theft, standing up to powerful corporations, and protecting Marylanders’ rights
If you believe public service should be about people, not politics, I’d be grateful for your support. Can I count on you to join me in these fights by contributing $25 or whatever you can afford today?
