President Trump’s illegal tariffs will seriously harm our state’s economy. That’s why I created a coalition of businesses, workers, and community leaders to stop them.
I recently filed an amicus brief supporting a multistate lawsuit to block the tariffs – and just yesterday a court ruled in our favor. This is a big victory.
Washington is one of the most trade-dependent states in the country, so these unlawful and arbitrary tariffs would cause wide ranging, significant, and disproportionate harm to our state.
Trump will appeal this decision, but I’ll be fighting with our coalition all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court to stand up for Washington state.
