This is what’s at stake if we don’t fight for our courts.
This isn’t good, John:

Since returning to the White House, Donald Trump has unilaterally fired multiple members of independent federal agencies that protect workers, consumers, and civil rights.
These agencies’ board members are nominated by the President, confirmed by the Senate, and protected from being removed from office without cause. But Trump decided the rules don’t apply to him and that he can fire whoever he wants, whenever he wants, for whatever reason he wants.
Gwynne Wilcox, the first Black woman to serve on the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), was one of the first to be fired by Trump. She quickly sued the President for illegally firing her and won her case in district court.
But the Supreme Court just granted Trump’s wish and issued a stay in this case, keeping Gwynne removed from her position unless the Court ultimately rules in her favor, which the far-right majority already indicated they are unlikely to do.
Trump bulldozed 90 years of legal precedent, and it looks like he’s going to get away with it unless the Supreme Court changes course.
This is what’s at stake if we don’t fight for our courts, John: Real people get hurt when Trump is given the green light to weaken federal agencies and fire independent watchdogs as he sees fit.
It’s our turn to fight back. Donate ANY amount to Demand Justice PAC today to fuel our work and help stop Trump from stacking the courts with even more MAGA loyalist judges willing to throw out our system of checks and balances →
