Hello, 

I’m reaching out to you with an important message on the reconciliation bill that just passed the House on party lines. This bill includes dramatic cuts to Medicaid, which covers 29% of the children in NY-03. It would put lives at risk by preventing people from accessing essential services and be a disaster for our healthcare providers. 

Even worse, these cuts would pay for tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans and massively expand the deficit. 

We should strive to be a country that cares for the vulnerable. And these cuts would be a disaster for our children–whose health and futures are more important than partisan legislation. 

I am hoping that the Senate makes this bill better and that we have a chance to work in a bipartisan way to move our country forward. That’s how we should be solving our problems, not on the backs of children.
