John,

Trump’s mass deportation agenda has been in full swing since January, with
masked ICE agents terrorizing residential neighborhoods, schools, and
small businesses to detain and deport immigrants. In just five months,
tens of thousands of people have already been deported from the United
States.

No matter what the MAGA propaganda says, this does nothing to keep our
communities safe or help working-class people survive. Like almost
everything Trump does, it’s about boosting corporate profits for his
friends and political donors.

According to the Wall Street Journal, corporations have made over $13
billion off detaining and deporting immigrants since 2014, and taxpayers
are footing the bill.

This is a multi-billion-dollar business, and the GOP budget just gave the
Department of Homeland Security another $160 billion to spend on ICE
detentions and deportations, a 50% increase from last year.

The reality is: ICE does not protect or serve the public — it simply feeds
Trump’s deportation machine that enriches corporations and the billionaire
class.

We want to hear from you. Should ICE be abolished,
John? Take our quick poll to let us know where
you stand:
