Hi John,
When Keir Starmer won the General Election about 11 months ago, many of us hoped it would be the start of something better.
A break from the culture wars and meaningful steps towards a far more democratic politics that listens to everyone, not just the loud minority.
But now? Many are saying that the rhetoric feels all too familiar. An “island of strangers” speech which echoed of Enoch Powell. A refusal to take on Nigel Farage, but instead mimic him. And the same old silence on fixing the broken voting system, which is fuelling disillusion in our politics.
We’re working with partners inside and outside Parliament, pushing for real democratic change — and we want to know how you’re feeling about it.
Your answer will take you straight into a short survey. It’s a space to share how things feel and what you think needs to change.
