BREAKING news, John: Donald Trump just nominated one of his former personal attorneys to become a federal judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals.

Emil Bove is currently “one of Trump’s most trusted aides at the Justice Department” who “quickly earned a reputation as Trump’s hatchet man,” according to CNN. He’s made controversial moves there, including:

• Issuing an aggressive memo threatening to prosecute state and local officials who don’t comply with Trump’s cruel immigration crackdown just two days after Trump was inaugurated;
• Firing eight senior FBI officials and looking into thousands of other employees who investigated the January 6th riot at the Capitol;
• Filing a motion to dismiss corruption charges against New York City Mayor Eric Adams, after Adams agreed to coordinate with Trump’s mass deportations in what was seen as a clear quid pro quo.

Not only that, but Bove previously worked on Trump’s criminal defense team. Talk about a MAGA loyalist!
