Rallying this month for our schools!

This month and next, families across the Central Valley are celebrating their students – from kindergarten promotions to high school and college graduations. These are powerful moments. And they represent years of hard work, sacrifice, and hope for a better future.

But while our kids were walking across graduation stages, my opponent was in Washington pushing legislation that would gut education funding – cutting resources from the very schools our students rely on.

Just last week, he voted for the so-called “Big Beautiful Budget” – legislation that slashes billions from public education, including devastating cuts to low-income schools and special ed programs. 

It’s a direct attack on our kids’ future, and frankly, it’s unacceptable.

I’ve spent my career as an educator, and I know what’s at stake when education budgets are slashed. I’ve seen the impact – overcrowded classrooms, rising college costs, and students from working families forced into crushing debt or pushed out of higher ed altogether.

That’s why I’m in this fight – to protect our public schools, to invest in our students, and to make sure every young person in the Central Valley has a real shot at success.
