PLANNED PARENTHOOD
Last week, by a razor-thin majority, Republicans in the U.S. House voted to "defund" Planned Parenthood.

"Defunding" Planned Parenthood is dangerous and reckless. The impact across the country would be catastrophic.
1 in 3 Planned Parenthood health centers could close
Planned Parenthood health centers are vital to America's health care system, with over 2 million patients relying on services for high-quality, affordable, trusted reproductive health care every year.

Forcing nearly 200 health centers to close their doors would cause massive harm. Entire regions will suffer.
More than 1.1 million patients could lose access to care
No other provider could immediately step in and fill that gap. Many patients will lose access to birth control, wellness exams, STI testing, abortion, cancer screenings, and more.
More than 90% of health centers at risk of closure are in states where abortion is still legal
"Defunding" Planned Parenthood will harm patients in every part of the country.

Patients — not the government — should have the power to control their own bodies, lives, and futures.

The House passed this bill, but it's not yet law. Now, the bill will go to the U.S. Senate.

Patients can still visit health centers to get the care they need. You can also reach out to your local Planned Parenthood health center or visit plannedparenthood.org/get-care.

We'll keep you updated on what happens next.

Thank you for always being part of our work to protect reproductive health and rights, no matter what.
