Mayor Bowser is using her budget to try to overturn Initiative 82, taking the side of the restaurant lobby over hard-working tipped workers. We need to tell the Council: stop the attacks on tipped workers! The plan announced by Mayor Bowser would cut tipped workers wages by over $4 an hour. DC voters have consistently voted to raise tipped workers wages.
On Wednesday, June 4th starting at noon the DC Council will hear testimony on this issue. They must stop these attacks and remove any changes to Initiative 82 from the DC budget. Please add your voice at this important hearing. Commit to testifying today! |
