Hi John,
As soon as next month, trophy hunters in Alaska will walk into national preserves armed with guns — and donuts.
The donuts will lure bears, and the guns will deprive us of precious wildlife. The administration has now finalized this sick tactic and others. Wolves, bears and other species will pay for it with their lives.
And the attacks from anti-wildlife forces are spreading.
We're gearing up to fight this in court. Please give today to the Saving Life on Earth Fund.
Not content with allowing the slaughter of grizzly bears in Alaska's national preserves, the administration is looking to expand the killing in places like Kenai National Wildlife Refuge.
And it's not only Alaska.
This spring the administration proposed to open or expand hunting on 97 wildlife refuges.
More than 2 million acres of our national wildlife refuges could be opened up to hunting.
This is a gift from the administration to those who would rob the wild of iconic species like wolves and bears just to decorate their living room walls and floors.
These creatures belong in the wild. They should never be slaughtered on public lands, especially in places designated to protect biodiversity.
Many fights are underway right now, along with our collective battle against a virus. These fights can be summed up in one word: justice.
It's not just, fair or ethical to bait wild animals with sweet-smelling food and then shoot them. The forces who stand against justice in our communities are the very same forces trying to take out wildlife and let the climate and extinction crises run rampant.
Please consider a gift to the Saving Life on Earth Fund.
For the wild,
