Governor DeWine Appoints Curtin to Stow Municipal Court
(COLUMBUS, Ohio)—Ohio Governor Mike DeWine today announced the appointment of Cynthia Curtin to the Stow Municipal Court.
Curtin, of Hudson, will assume office on June 9, 2025, and will be taking the seat formerly held by Judge Kim Hoover. She will serve the remainder of the unfinished term and will need to run for election in November 2025 to retain the seat.
Curtin began her law career in 1989 as an associate attorney for Keller, Scully, & Williams, LLP in Cleveland. In 2003, she owned and managed Curtin Law, LLC (formally Curtin & Curtin, LLP and Curtin & Associates, LLP) in Akron until 2023. She currently works as an attorney at Perez Morris in Cleveland.
Curtin received her bachelor of science degree from Indiana University and her juris doctorate from Cleveland State University's Marshall College of Law.
Curtin is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, Akron Bar Association, Cleveland Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, Ohio Association of Civil Trail Attorneys, and the National Association of Minority and Women Owned Law Firms.
