While some people vote based on the individual candidate, many still vote along party lines. Strong voter registration numbers don’t just look good—they give campaigns a clear base to organize from and help identify where outreach is needed most.
As of April 2025, Democrats in both Maricopa County and the state of Arizona are behind Republicans in registered voters. Here in Maricopa County, there are currently 643,908 registered Democrats compared to 727,834 registered Republicans. That’s a gap we must close—fast.
That’s why we’ve hired a full-time staffer dedicated solely to voter registration, and we’re partnering with organizations across the county and state to register new voters and re-engage lapsed ones.
If we want to win in 2026 and 2028, increasing Democratic registration is non-negotiable.
