Recently, I testified before Congress about the so-called SAVE Act.

Let me be clear: this bill is one of the most dangerous threats to voting rights we’ve seen in our lifetime.

It would require documentary proof of citizenship just to register to vote, and as we've seen in places like Kansas, such a requirement would likely block millions of eligible Americans from voting.

Seniors.

Students.

Women who have changed their last names.

People without easy access to government documents.

That’s why I went to Washington. I wasn’t just speaking for Minnesota, I was speaking for every voter in this country who believes our democracy should be secure and accessible.
