Hi John,
I’d like to take a moment to introduce myself: I’m Colonel Pam Stevenson, and I’m running for the U.S. Senate to replace Mitch McConnell in Kentucky.
I’ll tell you a little bit more in just a moment, but if you’re already inspired, can you chip in whatever you can between me and Blue South as we work together to make real change happen in Kentucky and across the country? [[link removed]]
I was born and raised in the Shawnee neighborhood of West Louisville. My dad was a union welder and my mom was a clerk. We couldn’t afford much, but I thought we were rich — surrounded by family, faith, and a community that cared for each other.
That same spirit guided me through 27 years of service in the U.S. Air Force JAG Corps — across Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas. Everywhere I went, I met people just like the folks I grew up with in West Louisville: hard-working, full of faith, and ready to fight for a better future.
We shared stories — about our families, our kids, the bourbon, and horses back home. But we also talked about what’s slipping away: our people getting sicker, our small towns vanishing, our cities growing meaner, and our health care harder to reach. And we promised to make a difference when we got back.
I’m running for the U.S. Senate to keep that promise.
Because, John, I live by three words, one creed: Duty. Honor. Kentucky.
For 40 years, Mitch McConnell looked down on Kentucky from 30,000 feet. I cannot believe he spent decades looking people in the eye with all that power and retired without making more of a difference in their lives. And now, the Republicans lining up to replace him are ready to protect the same broken system.
Kentucky deserves better. I’ve dedicated my entire life to service and that is not going to stop anytime soon.
