Dear Employer,
Thank you to the 45,000 employers who have already registered for an account with the Maine Paid Leave Contributions Portal. A reminder that for the Maine Paid Family and Medical Leave Program, every employer with at least one Maine-based employee must register for an account with the Maine Paid Leave Portal. Even if you have a payroll processor filing wage reports and/or submitting premiums on your behalf, you must have an account created to link these reports and payments, and to ensure that you can access your account and review your account status. Employers can register here and call (207) 621-5024 for any assistance they need with the registration process.
Also, a reminder that employers who have not yet filed a wage report or remitted premiums owed for first quarter filing must do so as soon as possible. Penalties for late filing have been waived for Quarter 1 to allow time for employers to adjust to reporting, but penalties for late filing will be enforced for Quarter 2.
