Check out the latest actions our Attorney General has taken to defend commonsense gun laws.
Gun violence is America’s disease, uniquely so.
While California has some of the strongest gun violence prevention measures in the nation, even one gun death is too many. No one, in any part of our country, should have to live in fear of gun violence. That’s why this issue is a top priority for our Attorney General.
Just this month, Rob filed briefs to defend commonsense gun safety laws that are under attack by Republicans and the gun lobby in other states, including:
- Illinois’ restrictions on the possession, sale, or transfer of certain assault weapons and large-capacity magazines capable of holding more than 10 rounds of ammunition for long guns and 15 rounds for handguns.
- New York’s ban on carrying firearms in public parks.
Assault weapons and large-capacity magazines have been used in many horrific mass shootings around the country, including right here in California. Weapons of war don’t belong on our streets — and no guns belong where our children and families are playing.
Rob is staying vigilant and fighting back whenever and wherever life-saving gun restrictions come under threat, but he needs your support to keep it up.
