It takes resources to fund a congressional campaign, and winning NJ-03 is absolutely essential if we are going to take back the House. Democrats are in the minority by just 3 seats in what will be a tight battle for House control. That means we can’t take any seat for granted. The difference between flipping the House and failing to do so could be just one seat!

We’re seeing every day the consequences of a GOP trifecta. Trump’s lawlessness is virtually unchecked. The courts have stopped some of his worst impulses, but the GOP Congress is his accomplice. And we can see the wreckage right here at home. Trump’s budget will rip away health insurance from thousands of people in NJ-03 if it’s passed. And Trump’s arrest of Newark Mayor Ras Baraka and criminal charges against my colleague, Rep. LaMonica McIver, shows that even blue-leaning states are not safe from Trump’s assaults on our democracy.
