It’s easy to understand why half of Americans under the age of 40 have a negative view of capitalism - they feel like the system is rigged against them.

Thanks to our hard-won Senate majority, my colleagues and I are working to pass a bill that would change the perception of capitalism for those who don’t necessarily feel like they’ve been able to take advantage of it.

How are we going about it?  We will start by ensuring their children have the best possible chance at success in the world, starting from the day they’re born.

We’re going to let the magic of the private sector do its thing. We’ll put $1,000 in an investment account that tracks the S&P 500, tax-deferred, until the individual reaches the age of 18, upon which they can choose to withdraw the funds or continue making contributions. Family and employers would be able to contribute as well.

This once-in-a-generation piece of legislation will transform millions of lives.

This, Fellow Conservative, is why elections matter. If Democrats still controlled the majority in the House and Senate, we wouldn’t be on the cusp of getting this incredible bill passed into law.

This is a perfect example of why we must ensure we have the entirety of Trump’s four years in the White House to pass legislation, like mine, that reminds American voters why we’re a center-right country; why capitalism is better than socialism any day of the week, and why they elected us in the first place.

As you know, the party in the White House typically loses 4% of its incumbents in a midterm election. If the election were held today, we’d lose.

Fellow Conservative, my legislation will benefit Americans who are usually not inclined to invest in the stock market, and here is why that is important.

The New Deal propelled Democrats into Congressional supermajorities for decades, resulting in unbreakable, unstoppable voting coalitions that Republicans couldn’t compete with. I believe my legislation, which we’re championing right now, could pull millions of Americans out of poverty and drastically change the trajectory of future generations. It could also save American taxpayers untold sums of money and ensure a new coalition of Republican capitalists that would dominate American politics for decades to come.

This is an example of the transformative legislation voters asked for when voting in Republican majorities in November's election.
