With the U.S. providing cover, Israel’s genocidal regime is preparing its final solution for the Palestinian people.

To deflect international pressure being put on Israel, the Trump admin concocted scheme involves a newly established “non-governmental foundation” run by a former U.S. marine to create “sterile zones” where a miniscule amount of aid is distributed. These zones are operated by U.S. mercenaries, and Palestinians receiving aid have to pass through checkpoints and facial recognition technology as a condition for receiving aid they so desperately need. Concentration camps in all but name.

This plan does not bring an end to the genocide nor does it adequately provide aid to starving Palestinians - but that’s not the point. Bezalel Smotrich, Netanyahu’s coalition ally and right wing extremist, was caught saying the quiet part out loud: “our friends in the world continue to provide us with an international umbrella of protection against the Security Council and the Hague Tribunal, and for us to continue to fight, God willing, until victory.”

The U.S. government stands alone in it’s commitment to support Israel’s genocide, as international condemnation reaches a fever pitch. Even at home, recent polling has shown a majority of Americans, and an even larger majority of Democrats, are opposed to Israel’s genocide.

Opposing the genocide should be a slam dunk issue for members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus - morally and politically. But their silence is deafening, as AIPAC cash overflows from their campaign coffers. They have abandoned the Palestinian people to their fate for their own political ambitions. They aren’t the heroes they pretend to be.

That is why Clean Up the Caucus is holding Democrats in the Congressional Progressive Caucus accountable. They think their silence will deflect attention away from their complicity - but we are putting a spotlight on it. Can we count on you to chip in whatever you can spare to hold these so-called progressives accountable for their complicity with genocide?
