While the 2026 midterm may seem far away, the work to defend this seat starts now. Here’s why:

• I’ve been added to the DCCC’s "Frontline" program -- a list of the most at-risk incumbents in the country.


• Republicans are already eyeing our race as one of their best chances to flip a Democratic seat and cement their MAGA majority. As a reminder, we were one of just a few red-to-blue wins in the nation, which makes me an even bigger target.


• Experts, including the Cook Political Report, are yet again ranking CA-27 as one of the most competitive races in the country. We’re already one rating away from a toss-up.

We need all hands on deck to keep this seat blue. So instead of asking for a donation today, we set a goal of locking in 2,000 grassroots endorsements to kick off our re-election effort with strength:
