John,
As Liz Cheney said before voting to impeach Donald Trump, “there has never been a greater betrayal by a President” than his actions on January 6th.
Four years later, that betrayal hasn’t ended. It’s deepening.
First, Trump pardoned more than 1,500 January 6th rioters as one of his first acts in office. Now, his administration is reportedly paying over $5 million to the family of Ashli Babbitt—despite the fact that the Capitol Police officer who shot her was cleared of wrongdoing and credited with saving lives.
In a moment, we’ll break down the latest disgraceful updates on Trump’s January 6th legacy—and how COURIER is making sure voters don’t forget this betrayal of our democracy.
But first:
If you believe voters deserve better than a media that treats Donald Trump’s depraved betrayal of our nation like it’s “old news,” please make a donation to COURIER today so we can keep growing. [[link removed]]

The story of January 6th isn’t over. It’s still unfolding—and while the legacy media moves on, COURIER won’t.
This week, Zachary Alam—the pardoned rioter who smashed the windows outside the Speaker’s Lobby—was re-arrested in Virginia for breaking into a home and stealing personal items.
He had been sentenced to eight years in prison for his role in the insurrection. But after Trump returned to office, he was pardoned.
Alam isn’t an outlier. Trump’s mass pardons included dozens of people with serious prior criminal records, and some have already been re-arrested for new crimes—including drunk driving homicide, child sex abuse, and federal gun charges.
Trump knew exactly who he was pardoning. He did it to protect himself and rewrite history.
And now, he’s doubling down with a taxpayer-funded, $5 million payout to Ashli Babbitt’s family. This, despite the fact that the officer who shot her was cleared by the Capitol Police and U.S. Attorney’s Office, both of which concluded he acted to protect members of Congress.
At COURIER, we’re not letting it go.
While mainstream outlets chase Trump’s crisis of the day, we’re documenting what still matters—and making sure our massive audiences online know the truth.
Just this week, our content about Trump’s pardons, the Babbitt settlement, and Alam’s arrest accumulated millions of views on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and in inboxes across the country.
We’re doing the work the legacy media won’t. And we need your help to keep it going.
If you want truth to survive this perilous moment for our nation, please chip in $25 or whatever you can today. [[link removed]]
