CBS News: Trump administration erases healthcare protections for transgender patients during Pride Month

During Pride Month and amid a pandemic, President Trump just finalized his rule to rollback healthcare protections for LGBTQ people, women, and other Americans.
 
This is unacceptable and we need to make our voices heard:
 
 
While the Trump administration may be fine with abandoning our values and efforts to protect public health, California is not.
 
Under this policy, it could be open season for discrimination in healthcare. Transgender Americans could be refused care at doctors’ offices and women could be discriminated against simply for seeking reproductive healthcare.
 
Put plainly, this rule is in direct opposition to our public health goals and our values as Americans.
 
We will do what is necessary to stand up for the Americans who would disproportionately bear the brunt of this foolish policy — and we need you to join us. Team, can you stand with us today and make your opposition clear?
