Last, House Republicans passed President Trump's "Big Beautiful Bill" in the dark of night. The entire premise of this bill is to cut people out of Medicaid to pay for tax cuts for some of the wealthiest Americans. That's just the math. In Michigan, that means up to 300,000 people could lose their primary insurance, and it will jack up the price of healthcare for *all* of us.

We need every American to hear those facts. That's why I'm excited to partner with Democratic National Committee for their next People's Town Hall, this time in Michigan's 7th Congressional District. The event will take place Friday, June 6th in Lansing.

The People's Town Hall: Michigan's 7th Congressional Dsitrict
*Friday June 6th*
*5:30PM*
*Lansing, MI*

I’m also excited to be joined by my friend, Representative Kristen McDonald Rivet. We will take your questions, and have an honest conversation about the way forward.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Friend, if you are unable to attend, please consider making a contribution to support my work and help push back against this bill.

United States Senators often keep on fundraising after their election ends, but Elissa doesn't want to keep bombarding your inbox with fundraising requests.

What we will do is send you good, timely content - like this message. Stuff you might open without dread.

But she does hope you may consider making a small, monthly recurring contribution. Even just $5 or $10 - so we don't have to send those mass fundraising emails while Elissa is focused on her work as a Senator.
