Montgomery County Judge **Mark Keough** said he spoke with power companies Tuesday morning as crews were already working to restore power across the county.
"Last night's storm was similar to a Category 1 hurricane blowing through the county," Keough wrote on Facebook. "Thankfully the power outages are not as large as what we experience during a hurricane and for the most part should be online sometime today."

Thunderstorms also brought heavy winds and some damage. A home in northwest Harris County was damaged when a large tree fell onto the roof, Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman said on social media.
