![]() Patriot, Does the Constitution matter to them? Four months into Donald Trump's second presidency, it's become clear key members of his administration have no interest in reining in the Surveillance State. . . . . . despite the fact Trump himself was spied on by that very same Surveillance State. But make no mistake, the Surveillance State is still churning at full speed. And the Swamp bureaucracy didn't change on Inauguration Day. They're the very same people, with the very same agenda. And President Trump isn’t the only target. It's you, it's me, and it's every liberty-loving American patriot.
Some of the most egregious abuses come from Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), which the Deep State used to sabotage the first Trump administration. Relying on a false document created by a foreign agent acting on behalf of the Hillary Clinton campaign, the FISA court issued a warrant to spy on the Trump campaign and then his own administration. According to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the FBI used Section 702 to gather information on American citizen more than 3 million times in 2021 alone. That year – the first of Joe Biden’s administration – saw a more than 250% increase over previous years. Not only is the FISA Court typically a rubber stamp for requests to spy on American citizens, but the court once announced that government reported numerous incidents in which the FBI gathered surveillance without even seeking permission from the court! In fact, the U.S. “intelligence” community, and especially the FBI, illegally rummaged through millions upon millions of phone call and message records on innocent Americans without a warrant. And virtually everything you do online is being snapped up by the NSA for whatever purpose they want. Now, with the advent of Artificial Intelligence, it’s clear the government is capable of building detailed “profiles” of every American, including you and me. Not long ago, Campaign for Liberty – with the help of good patriots like you – killed a PATRIOT Act-era law that allowed the NSA to collect your “metadata” – like time and date stamps on phone calls. And soon, Section 702’s authorization will expire – and you and I must demand Congress END the unconstitutional spying on American citizens. The fact is, we cannot allow this to continue if our beloved country is to remain – in any sense – free. Even if the current administration succeeds at reining in the Deep State over the next 4 years, if warrantless surveillance of Americans is still the law of the land, it’s just a matter of time before we’re in the crosshairs again! You and I simply MUST demand permanent change NOW, while we have a fighting chance! ![]() That's why I'm counting on you to send your STOP THE SURVEILANCE STATE directive to the House and Senate right away. The truth is, I believe this is a fight for the very future of our Republic. No government in the history of mankind – not even the Communist East German Stasi of yesteryear – has ever held the massive spying power our federal government holds over law-abiding U.S. citizens today. . . And no government in world history that’s ever sought this power has even been able to avoid the temptation for abuse. Our Founders understood that liberty cannot exist without privacy. As Benjamin Franklin stated, “Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.” The statists will say if you have nothing to hide, then you have nothing to fear. But that isn’t what our Constitution guarantees us! Today, our Constitution’s Fourth Amendment – which protects American citizens’ right to privacy from government – is hanging by nothing but a thread. Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), Chairman of the U.S. House Judiciary Committee, says Section 702 re-authorization cannot happen without significant protections for American citizens. And he has bi-partisan support in the U.S. House. But, believe it or not, politicians don’t always follow through on their promises, as we witnessed just last year when House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) flip-flopped on the issue at the last second and cast the deciding vote against a warrant requirement. That’s why it’s so important you and thousands of patriots like you answer this call to action. Please take a moment to sign your STOP THE SURVEILLANCE STATE directive right away! ![]() After you sign, please make a generous contribution if you can, to help us make this a full-scale battle in the months ahead. Last year, we came just one vote short of passing a warrant requirement into law. With your help, we can get the requirement across the finish line. Like you, sometimes I feel like we’re watching the police state nightmare from George Orwell’s 1984 being built around us. But more and more Americans are waking up to this. So won’t you please join me in shouting DOWN WITH BIG BROTHER before it’s too late – before the idea of American liberty is nothing more than a distant memory? Please sign your STOP THE SURVEILLANCE STATE petition and agree to your most generous gift of $250, $100, $50, or at least $25 TODAY! For Liberty, ![]() Ron Paul Chairman P.S. Section 702 of FISA – which allowed the massive collection of innocent Americans’ emails, texts, phone calls, and online chats to continue – is set to expire soon.
