“He’s finished, done, gone. He polls terrible.”

— An unnamed GOP operative, quoted by [ [link removed] ]Politico, on Elon Musk.

This is what insiders from Musk’s own party are saying about the man
trying to take advantage of Memphis’ lax environmental regulations to
operate his methane-powered data center, poisoning an entire community in
the process, John.

But party infighting, off-put former allies, and low public opinion won’t
be enough to stop the wealthiest man on earth from getting away with his
toxic mandate. You know what will, though? [ [link removed] ]People power.

That’s why we’re asking you to stand up for the southwest Memphis
community with us by making phone calls to residents, asking them if
they’re familiar with what’s happening with Musk’s AI data center, and
directing them to take action.

[ [link removed] ]Join the phone bank to #StopToxicTech

Phone banking might be new for you, so we’ve prepared a list of common
questions asked before joining an action like this!

Will I have a script for these calls?
Absolutely! The script is short, to the point, and instructs you on how to
reply to common responses we get while making these calls.

What makes a good phone banking volunteer?
Enthusiasm, humility, and a desire to help create a more just world. You
don’t have to know all of the answers to questions you may receive; you
can always follow up with the person you’re speaking with or direct them
to our staff. Pro tip: remember to literally “smile while you dial” —
you’ll be surprised by how much easier the calls will feel.

When am I expected to make these phone calls?
That is up to you and your availability; you can make as many calls as
you’d like to, on your own time! (Just remember that Memphis is on Central
Standard Time, so plan accordingly!)

How does this make a difference on the campaign?
Movements for environmental justice against big, powerful corporations
have the best chances of success when a critical mass of the population
gets involved. By joining these efforts, you will be helping educate and
mobilize everyday people who may or may not be aware of what’s quietly
been happening in their community — all without their input.

[ [link removed] ]I’m ready to make some calls!

After you sign up, you’ll be sent instructions on how to use the phone
banking tool, and a Dream.Org staff member will be in touch with you.

Let’s do this.
