In a head-shaking move by the Supreme Court of the United States, their decision today to decline hearing a number of 2nd Amendment cases feels like a kick in the gut. Due to their heavy court calendar, we never expected a hearing on each case, but we were hopeful they would at least take on a few. This elevates the importance of Rodriguez v. City of San Jose; the petition for cert (hearing) has yet to be circulated, and is still pending. Also, there are other cases that are in the pipeline that could bring the 2nd Amendment issue before the high court.
