Today, we pause to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice is the foundation of the freedoms we hold dear.

As we remember them, I’m reminded of what it means to serve—and what’s at stake when our rights and freedoms come under attack. Public service is about protecting the values so many have fought to defend.

On this Memorial Day, let’s honor their legacy by continuing the work of building a more just, free, and inclusive future for all Coloradans.
