Today, I want to talk about the best father I could ever have.
David Hogg here. I want to talk to you about my dad:

My dad was a helicopter pilot, FBI agent, teacher and the best father I could ever have. He was diagnosed with early-onset Parkinson’s 16 years ago, and in September, he passed away.
During the final years of his life, I watched my parents struggle to get the VA disability benefits that he was entitled to. Now, the Trump administration is planning to cut more than 80,000 jobs from the VA, which will make it even more difficult for disabled veterans to provide for their families and access the care they deserve.
So this year on Memorial Day, I’m thinking of all the families like mine that have paid the ultimate price in service to this country, and recommitting myself to ensure that every single veteran has access to the care and benefits that they need.
Thanks for being in this fight.

P.S. Too many folks in power are willing to look the other way while Trump slashes the VA. Help us force them to pay attention and chip in any amount to Leaders We Deserve today.
