Every day, America’s servicemembers and their families put duty above all else. On Memorial Day, we come together to honor the men and women who selflessly sacrificed their lives for our country. We honor their courage and unwavering commitment to the promise of America. They gave everything to ensure we could hold on to a democracy rooted in equality, justice, and freedom.

Today is not only about gratitude – it's also a recommitment to action. We must work to ensure our Gold Star and military families, veterans, and their loved ones have the care and support they’ve earned through their service and sacrifice. And for each of us, it’s a solemn reminder of the cost of freedom. We must all do our part to build a better nation and protect the rights so many have fought to defend.  

Let’s continue to stand together for those who stood for us.
