Their commitment was unwavering, their courage undeniable, and their belief in a government of, by, and for the people remains the foundation of our nation.

But today, democracy faces new threats—not just from foreign adversaries, but from within. Misinformation, disengagement, and attacks on transparency are eroding trust in the institutions built to serve the people. Honoring their legacy means safeguarding our future, ensuring the ideals they fought for remain strong for generations to come.

At Build Alaska’s Future, we are carrying forward this fight—not with weapons, but with knowledge, civic engagement, and fact-based advocacy. Our mission started in Alaska, but the challenges we face here reflect broader national struggles, and we are taking direct action to ensure Americans everywhere understand the stakes.

HOW WE'RE MAKING AN IMPACT

• Amplifying Facts Over Fear: Our Spring Initiative is driving media campaigns to educate Americans on the consequences of federal funding shifts. Through radio ads, digital outreach, and grassroots engagement, we’re ensuring that communities understand what’s at stake. Listen to our latest radio ad.
• Unifying Voices in Critical Conversations: We have launched a series of forums, partnering with nonprofits, universities, and other key stakeholders to provide expert analysis and community discussions on the risks posed by declining federal investments. These conversations explore how funding delays, cuts, or cancellations could weaken long-term economic stability—issues that affect communities across the country. Watch the discussion.
• Turning Data Into Stories That Resonate: We have documented more than 4,000 federal infrastructure projects to ensure transparency in funding allocation. But numbers alone aren’t enough—we are working to bring these projects to life through personal narratives, GIS mapping, and video storytelling to illustrate their real-world impact. Unlike 501(c)(3) nonprofits, 501(c)(4) organizations can engage in political campaign activities, supporting policies and candidates who align with our mission—which is critical to ensuring that federal leadership remains rooted in facts, transparency, and problem-solving.
