ON THIS DAY WE REMEMBER AND HONOR THOSE THAT GAVE THEIR FINAL MEASURE FOR THE LIBERTIES AND FREEDOMS THAT WE ENJOY TODAY.

Our family, like many of yours, have family members who have served and who lost their lives either on the battlefield or as a result of their service.

Below is the story of John W. Powers who would have been my cousin on my dad’s side. His is just one story, one representation, of the bravery and the lives sacrificed over the span of our nation’s history.

Please take a moment today to reflect on the lives lost and the families who mourn for those who never returned.

May God Bless them and may God continue to bless America.
