JOY CUTS THROUGH THE NOISE

Several years ago, 8-year-old Thomas sat alone in the corner of the chapel at a Prison Fellowship(R) Angel Tree camp. He covered his ears while dozens of excited children mingled around the room. As a kid with autism, Thomas often found it challenging to navigate loud noises and new people, especially in an unfamiliar environment.
So he barely noticed when a teenage boy—a camp counselor named Elijah—sat down beside him. They began to make conversation, and Thomas shared that his mom had signed him up for camp with his brother.
The kindness of a new friend put Thomas at ease that night, and he never forgot it. The more he connected with campers and staff, the more he felt at home.

DISCOVER THE JOY OF CAMP
SEND A PRISONER’S CHILD TO CAMP
Before we know it, summer will be here! You can make a difference in the life of a child with your gift. For prisoners’ children, camp is a safe place to experience the great outdoors, make new friends, and just be kids! But most importantly, camp is where they can hear the Gospel and learn about our Lord and Savior. When you give today, you’ll make it possible for a child with a parent in prison to experience camp.
