John --

Our New York NINE are facing primaries in just EIGHT DAYS!

You guys already know Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez from our New York slate, but meet two more future representatives who are really getting people fired up about change in their districts:

Mel Gagarin (NY-6) [[link removed]]

Mel is challenging Democratic incumbent Grace Meng. Meng hasn’t been present in her district and has done little since elected in 2013, to help out New York’s 6th district and is bankrolled by corporate PACs and high-dollar donors.

Mel is the right candidate because he has dedicated his life to serving his community. He’s worked for years with multiple organizations including the National Foundation for Women Legislators, the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, Planned Parenthood of NYC, and at College and Community Fellowship, focusing on the intersection of criminal justice reform and higher education, as well as women’s rights.

“I spent 10 years in the nonprofit space, working on social justice causes,” said Mel. “It is not just my professional resume that prepares me for the job, it is the lived experiences that help inform those policies."

Mel knows policy and Mel knows people. He won’t bend to the pressure of big donors or corporations. We need Mel to replace Grace Meng on the 23rd.

Lindsey Boylan (NY-10) [[link removed]]

Lindsey is running to unseat incumbent Democrat Jerry Nadler. Much like AOC’s 2018 opponent, Nadler is a well-known establishment Democrat with ties to the same corrupt establishment leaders as Crowley. A whopping 50% of Nadler’s donations are from large individual donors. Throughout his 30-year career Nadler has taken millions in Corporate PAC money.

Lindsey Boylan is a working mother who has hired a majority female staff. She has close ties to her roots as they inspired her to become a public servant.

Linsdey served as Chief of Staff to New York’s Governor, where she helped shape an economic and housing agenda. She was also a city planner for New York City, working on a beautification plan for the iconic Bryant Park.

"There is no midpoint between justice and injustice, no halfway between right and wrong,” said Lindsay. “When our nation is in crisis, we are called upon to show moral courage and to take action."

Mel and Lindsey are BOTH community champions and truly know the people of their districts. They have built fierce campaigns and have a real shot at winning their primaries!

We have a whole slate of fighters in New York like Mel and Lindsey. Can you contribute $9 right now and help us elect our New York Nine? [[link removed]]

When Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez won her race against an entrenched incumbent in 2018, we shocked the world. This month, we have an opportunity to help elect more progressives and send a message across New York and the country. Out with the stale politics of the status quo and in with candidates who give voters a real choice.
