Here in California, we’re fortunate to live in a state where we respect a woman’s right to choose — where we understand that the government shouldn’t be in the middle of deeply personal health care decisions.

Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for every other state. Across the country, we’ve witnessed MAGA Republicans pass cruel, life-threatening abortion bans at the state level, forcing millions of women to travel hours, sometimes even days, across state lines just to access the health care they need.

Listen, there are no compromises when it comes to abortion access. Every woman in America should have full autonomy over her own body, and I won’t stop working until that’s the reality in all 50 states.

But here’s the truth: Republicans have openly announced that replacing me with an anti-abortion extremist is one of their top goals in next year’s midterms. Can you chip in right away to make sure that NEVER happens?

When I was a State Senator, I was proud to serve as one of the loudest, most outspoken advocates for abortion rights in Sacramento. I also had the enormous responsibility of authoring Proposition 1, the successful ballot measure that enshrined abortion rights in California’s constitution.

Now, I’m fighting every day in Congress to expand those rights in all 50 states, so no woman in America, no matter where she resides, is denied her most basic human rights.

The decision to start a family is one of the most personal decisions a woman can make. And nobody, especially MAGA politicians like Donald Trump, should have the right to make that decision for her.

But Republicans disagree. Instead, they’re more emboldened than ever to use the immense power of the government to control women’s bodies and prevent Americans from accessing safe, legal reproductive care.

There is too much on the line to not give this fight everything we’ve got. That’s why I have to humbly ask:

Can you chip in $5, $25, or whatever you can to help me defend this swing seat from anti-abortion extremists and elect a pro-choice majority next year? Restoring Roe won’t be easy, but with a team like this, I know we can get it done.
