Washington's Governor Jay Inslee is showing the rest of the country how to lead. His stable leadership has taken Washington from the epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic to one of the fastest recovering states in the nation.

It's no exaggeration to say Jay Inslee's administration is a role model for Democrats everywhere. He's set the gold standard for protecting the environment and creating clean energy. He's expanded health care for 800,000 working families. And thanks to the governor's progressive leadership, Washington state has put working families first, from passing best in the nation paid family and medical leave to raising the minimum wage to one of the highest in the nation.

These policies and others have protected the most vulnerable throughout the COVID-19 crisis, and they'll help assure the state recovers from this crisis faster and stronger than other states that haven't put people first.

While Jay's leadership has saved lives and protected Washingtonians, Trump has been erratic, angry, and ineffective during this crisis. The national recognition Governor Inslee has received has made Republicans FURIOUS - including President Trump, who has targeted Jay through daily press conferences and tweets. Conservatives are so mad about Inslee's success - and so scared that other states will use it as a model - that they're lining up MILLIONS of dollars to defeat him and install a Trump crony in Washington state this November.

Governor Inslee needs resources for his campaign to fight back against Republican attacks. Unfortunately, because of a legally mandated legislative fundraising freeze that ended right before COVID-19 began, he hasn't been able to fundraise for six months. Jay made the decision to put politics aside and govern during the crisis, and it's working! Cases are down, we're hiring thousands of contact tracing specialists, and safely restarting economic activity on the advice of experts. That's why we're asking this community to help send 100 donations to jump start Jay's campaign before midnight. But, with just hours to spare, we're well short of our goal.
