Ronnie Chatterji – Treasurer #TheNerdWeNeed #RonnieforNC As the chief financial officer and official banker, the treasurer bears responsibility for managing the finances of the entire state including the management of the $74.2 billion state employee’s pension fund and approval of municipal and state bonds. Wayne Goodwin - Commissioner of Insurance #WG4NC The commissioner of insurance acts as head of the Department of Insurance, serves on the Council of State, and is State Fire Marshall. It is now responsible for a number of areas, including regulating the insurance industry, licensing insurance professionals, educating consumers, and handling complaints. Jenna Wadsworth - Commissioner of Agriculture #JennaforNC The commissioner is in charge of the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Jessica Holmes - Commissioner of Labor #JessicaHolmesNC The commissioner of labor heads the Department of Labor, whose main duty is promoting the "health, safety and general welfare" of the workers on North Carolina. The commissioner has broad regulatory and enforcement powers in order to carry out the duties of the department.
