This Isn’t Just Their Fight. It’s Ours Too
Some stories are so outrageous, they sound fictional. But what’s happening in
Washington state is very real — and deeply troubling.
Olympus Spa, run by devout Korean Christians, was founded on a clear and
biblically rooted mission: to serve women in a safe, private, and spiritually grounded
environment. For years, they’ve provided a sanctuary where women can relax and
heal without fear of exposure or discomfort.
But now, that sanctuary is under attack.
A biological male demanded access to the women-only spa. When Olympus Spa,
guided by their faith and longstanding policies, respectfully declined, they were hit
with legal threats. The Washington State Human Rights Commission launched an
aggressive campaign against them — not to promote justice, but to force
compliance.
This case isn’t just about one business. It’s about the growing conflict between
deeply held religious beliefs and the shifting tides of political ideology. It’s
about whether Christian business owners will be free to operate according to their
conscience — or be compelled to violate it.
At Pacific Justice Institute, we’re standing shoulder to shoulder with the women
of Olympus Spa. And we’re calling on you to do the same.
If you want to understand exactly why this case matters — and how it could affect
every church, school, and faith-based organization — we’ve published a legal
explainer you need to read.
Your voice. Your understanding. Your support. They all matter in moments like this.
