I grew up in the shadow of tyranny in a small village in Soviet-controlled Ukraine.
I know what it’s like to live under socialism—empty shelves, government surveillance, and no freedom to speak your mind or chart your own path.
That life shaped me. And it lit a fire in my heart.
I came to America in 2000 with a suitcase, an accent, and a dream: to live in a country where hard work is rewarded, faith is protected, and freedom is sacred.
I became a proud citizen, a businesswoman, a mother—and now, a U.S. Congresswoman fighting to preserve the very liberties that brought me here.

The same heavy-handed government overreach I fled is creeping into our institutions. Censorship, runaway spending, socialist policies, and a growing contempt for the Constitution—this isn’t the America I risked everything to join.
