After the Supreme Court's disastrous Trump vs. U.S. decision gave the president broad immunity, MAGA Republicans are now pushing the PEPPER Act – a bill that would take that dangerous ruling even further.
It would let executive branch officials transfer cases against them to federal courts, where Trump spent his whole first term stacking the bench with loyalist judges. It would also restrict what evidence can be used against them, giving Trump and his allies even more protection from accountability.
Trump is trying to make himself a king – immune to the law and free to do whatever he wants. If we want to keep our democracy, we must stop the PEPPER Act now.
