When my husband Andy was battling cancer, we were lucky.

Lucky that our employers gave us the time to focus on what mattered:
treatment, care, and being together in the hardest moments of our lives.

But in the wealthiest country in the world, the ability to get and provide
care shouldn’t ever come down to luck.

That’s why I’ve just introduced the FAIR Leave Act — a bipartisan bill to
fix a glaring flaw in federal law.

Right now, if two spouses work for the same employer, they’re forced to
split just 12 weeks of leave. That means less time to care for a newborn.
Less time to support a parent facing surgery. Less time to grieve, to
recover.

My bill would change that, and give each spouse the full leave they’ve
earned.

In a divided Congress, this kind of collaboration is rare. But we’ve built
a bipartisan coalition because this issue is so important and so personal
to so many. Now, we need to build the grassroots support to get it passed.
And that’s where you come in.

show Congress there’s grassroots momentum behind this bill?
