UEC Uranium Corp. (UEC) of 907 N. Poplar Street, Suite 260, Casper WY, 82601 has filed a regular mine permit amendment with the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality, Land Quality Division. The mineral being mined is uranium. The Willow Creek Mine is operated under Mine Permit no. 478 and is located in the Powder River Basin at the base of the North Pumpkin Butte. The Willow Creek Mine property consists of Irigaray Central Processing Facility and Christensen Ranch Satellite which consists of approximately 14,986 acres within Township 44N, Range 76W; Township 44N, Range 77W; Township 45N, Range 77W; and Township 45N, Range 76W in Johnson and Campbell Counties, Wyoming. The mine is located approximately 50 miles southeast of Buffalo, 32 miles east of Kaycee and 30 miles northeast of Midwest, Wyoming. Information regarding the mine permit amendment may be reviewed at the office of the WDEQ-Land Quality Division in Cheyenne (and at the District III office in Sheridan). The application will be readvertised for public comment prior to approval by the Department of Environmental Quality.
