It happened again.

After I emailed you sharing Donald Trump's attacks on me via Twitter, he doubled down with another disgraceful tweet. And now, he's cheering on his cronies at Fox News as they doctor photos of peaceful protests in Seattle, showing violence and chaos.

Donald Trump is once again sowing lies to incite violence when he should be stepping up to show leadership. But why would this moment be any different than the 1,242 days since he took office?

I have a message for him, and I hope you'll join me in sending it: President Trump, it is you who should be ashamed. Americans are hurting right now because of your absolute absence of leadership, time and time again, from failing to protect us against COVID-19 to using racist dog whistles to divide Americans across the country. Americans are in the streets because they're angry -- in large part, angry at you.

I said last week that this was just the start of the right-wing attacks on me and this state, and I was right -- I just didn't expect to be right quite so fast. This is why I need your support, right now:
