I don’t know that I’ve faced a more consequential moment in my time serving this district.

House Republicans voted to pass devastating cuts to critical social safety net programs – including Medicaid – all under the guise of fiscal responsibility.

But here’s the kicker: they’re also raising the debt ceiling by four trillion dollars. And how are they justifying it? By handing out massive tax breaks to the ultra-wealthy and big corporations.

This isn’t just a budget proposal. It’s a statement of values.

Are we a nation that kicks kids off their health insurance? That takes food away from struggling families?

We are not.

Trump wants to tell American children how many pencils and dolls they should have. I say we tell billionaires they can make do with one yacht this year. We're making sure kids are fed and families have healthcare.

This is why I’m fighting so hard to hold the line in Congress – and why we need to defend this district with everything we’ve got. Because if we lose ground here, we lose the ability to stop this reckless agenda.
