Dear John,

Whether or not you saw my last email, I'm writing to you today to follow up and let you know that the Wolf Depredation Compensation Program Bill (SB 777 A [[link removed]]) has moved out of its committee and onto the House floor. In other words, one of our Major Threats this session is progressing in the legislature.

This moment matters more than ever for your legislators to hear from you. We can't afford to let this Major Threat pass because it sets back the recovery of Oregon's wolves. Time is running out to stop this bill. Please send a message to your representative today [[link removed]]!

Thank you for your support,
Eliza Walton (she/they)

Dear John,

If you’ve missed our Major Threat emails, let me tell you about the Wolf Depredation Compensation Program Bill (SB 777 A [[link removed]]). This bill would allow for up to 5x the fair market value paid for livestock confirmed killed or injured by wolves, draining the program's funds and jeopardizing wolf recovery. For those who are already familiar with this bad Wolf Depredation Compensation Program Bill (SB 777 A [[link removed]]), you know that this bad bill endangers the recovery of Oregon’s wolves, and we must stop it. Will you take a moment to send a message to your representatives asking them to stop this bill [[link removed]]?

Take action: [link removed]

As of now, Oregon farmers and ranchers are already paid the fair market value for livestock losses due to wolf predation. Installing an unnecessary 5x multiplier would put Oregon on the list of highest multipliers in the nation. We can’t afford to set back the recovery of our wolves anymore.

We’ve been fighting this Major Threat the majority of the session, and we need your help to stop it. This bill did pass the Senate earlier this session, but now we have the chance to stop it in the House, as we are coming up on some important legislative deadlines. Now is the time that your representatives need to hear from you [[link removed]]!

Our wolves are calling for your help! Will you answer the call [[link removed]]?

Take action: [link removed]

Thank you for your support,
Eliza Walton (she/they)
